Everybody's entire wardrobe is handmade by this definition. There is no clothes sewing machine. All clothes are put through a sewing machine by a person, usually a woman or a girl who is being exploited or enslaved.

Super easy additional single-use swaps: Install a bidet-I only buy tp for guests now Buy a large stack of Terry cloth rags, so that you’ll always have enough toweling to clean up big messes or clean the bathroom. Replaces paper towels Reusable “tissues”-cut up old tshirts or flannel or Terry cloth (towels) into your preferred tissue size. I store them in a pretty box at my bedside with a mesh bag hanging from my bed stand for used ones. My nose doesn’t get rubbed raw after a bad cold anymore :) Handkerchief-when going on a cold walk or hike, my typical was to take a huge wad of toilet paper with me to get me through the endless nose drips. A handkerchief is so much better for this!

String bikini would be one way to accommodate nonstretch brief style underwear. Or, boudoir shorts or mens style boxers

How do you fold up your patterns so small to fit in fold cabinets? I find that once I tape them together, they don’t fold well. I end up rolling them , but storing large rolls of taped computer paper isn’t my ideal organization method.

I'm planning on making a robe in a similar-ish fabric... how did you like the serged insides to this? Did it make it uncomfortable or scratchy? I'm considering doing serged seams or french seams and I can't tell if it would be worth the extra effort for the french seams. Plus, I'm not sure how you would do a french seam for a robe's underarm point where it's a square point. Anyway, just thought I'd ask your experience with how it feels inside. EDIT - sewing and the city has a tutorial called "French seams on a 90° angle" or similar and I think it's perfect and helpful!

I'm in the process of making a bathrobe style qipao from a very lightly used Waverly cabbage roses quilt. I couldn't stand to think of parting with it so I'm fashioning it into a bathrobe. I was very happy to see when you removed the bias binding from your quilt but also reused it. I had removed mine sometime prior to viewing your video. I was a bit surprised when you didn't use button loops to close your jacket. Does the tie get in the way of using the right pocket? Your video has been the most thorough that I've viewed and I picked up on some really great tips 😊

One of the things I miss about not having a dress form anymore is being able to construct a collar, dampen or steam it and leave it on the dress form to dry. Your dress form looks really good.

You did a great job. I bought a cheap polystyrene mannequin from Amazon. It was smaller than me. I used fleece blankets and wadding to pad it out to my size and made a cover from stretch material. I used an extending pole and a christmas tree stand to support it. To try it out I put a dress with a known fitting problem on the mannequin and was pleased to see the problem was the same as when I tried the dress on. I was really happy with the result and it was a lot cheaper than buying one.

I have a bootstrap dress form. I made it because I couldn't find a dress form that was as short waisted as me. I stuffed it with the filling from some huge pillows that I got from the thrift store. I love it because I can put a corset on it and it squishes like me which is good for the historical sewing that I do, a commercial mannequin won't do that. It's great to pin into, I use it for fitting and for placing trim. I prefer flat pattern to draping but it's nice for when I do drape something.
